Hey there!

Sorry that it took us so long to write this entry, but we had quite a lot to do concerning exams and stuff...
Anyway, after some starting troubles we could leave Calais heading towards Charleroi. Since the offline navigation system couldn't do routes longer than 200km we had to guess the fastest way home. Well, we took large towns on the straight route as our daily aims.
First thing we noticed about French streets was their horrible state. Second thing was the missing fuel stations (there were about none) and third was that, finally, we could drive safely on the right side of the street! Great feeling!

Hellooooouuuu =)

As we reached Dover, it was late in the afternoon. On the way we had seen a lot of ruins and castles and also the landscape and the weather was great again – it seemed as if the UK wanted to make it as hard as possible for us to leave. The cliffs of Dover were amazing and of course when we saw the sea again, you can imagine, who was the first running off towards it – right, Moprü =)

This is a story about a great scooter that is dearly missed by now... But more of that later on ;)

We left Ashwell Farm pretty early for we wanted to not drive right through London but around it. We had gotten a very interesting impression of the English way to drive so we were really scared of the Londoner rush hour. Or so we thought. On our way we realized the satnav was sending us straight through London even though we had planned the route before and it shouldn't have changed in the meantime. Yet it somehow thought it had a better plan for us... -.-

Heyho, we're back once again =)

The next morning we built down our tents very early to head close to London (of course not without any coffee). We did the way without any spectacular occasions until we stopped at a Lidl. There we got some foodstuffs (e.g. Babybel for the junkies) and searched for the next fuel stop veeeery urgently!

Hey there.

As you heard I met an old wall on our tour. Surprisingly the wall wasn't as nice as the Scottish people but what would you expect when someone bumps into you without any warnings. Rude Germans :) After stopping and getting a bandage on the knee, we stopped the first car and asked them to take me to the next hospital or something like that. Nora drove with her scooter behind us while I was sitting in the backseat.  You have to love the Scottish people, after hearing the stories about our trip and the problems the old lady in the car just said to me with a smile "Don't worry, that is all life experience" We then arrived at a little building where they dropped me off and drove away.

It was something like an emergency station with one paramedic and boy, that paramedic was one of a kind. After we explained the situation he said we should go around the building and wait for him. We did and were a little surprised when no one was there…
