After a very long first day at the scouts camp exploring every village around, we had a wonderful evening under the stars. Cooking, drinking, listening to music. The air tasted a little salty and when it got cold, we chilled ourselves into our tent between the olive trees, drank a little wine and enjoyed watching the stars.
...but we did find a campsite =) by accident we found a campsite leaded by scouts in golden bay.
Camping in Malta is not very common because it's rocky and with very less trees (TREEEEES, THEY ARE...gone). So we thought we'd better check out where we could built up our tent the next days as long as we had a place for our luggage.
We had spent the rest of the day walking around in Sliema, checking out local products, shops and of course the bay. Valletta/Sliema has some sort of beach at the heart of town. The evening we spent on that amazing roof terrace with wine, pizza and the Beatles =)
We decided Valletta was worth more than one short view, so we wanted to stay for two nights and ended up in some very fancy hippie-hostel. It smelled like entering a head shop, every wall was painted by different people and they had a little back yard and a fucking roof terrace! Somewhere in the center of Sliema (one of the two center parts of Valletta).
